Brand Identity

Brand identity that makes
small businesses visible.

Most small businesses don't have a brand identity problem because they never tried. They have one because they tried piecemeal: a logo from one designer, colors chosen on instinct, messaging that shifts depending on who's writing it. The result looks like a business that hasn't decided what it is yet.

A Brand Foundation from Vagari Creative gives you one system that holds everything together. Logo, visual language, typography, color, voice, and a brand guide that makes sure it all stays consistent, whether you're handing it to a designer, a printer, or an AI tool.

What you get

Three initial logo directions, developed far enough to react to, not rough sketches. You pick one, and it goes through two rounds of revisions.

The final file package covers what a printer, fabricator, or embroiderer will ask for: seven logo variations including the one-color versions most studios don't supply, delivered in SVG, PDF, EPS, and transparent PNG. No "can you send it as..." emails later.

Color palette, typography, voice and messaging guidelines built from real examples, and a brand guide your whole team and your AI tools can use.

What's included

Logo variations

  • Primary horizontal lockup
  • Stacked lockup
  • Wordmark alone
  • Secondary mark (doubles as your site favicon)
  • One-color black
  • One-color white / reversed
  • Favicon set

The one-color versions are the ones that matter when your logo goes on fabric, vinyl, signage, or anything single-color. A fabricator who isn't given one will make their own, and it won't look like yours.

File formats

  • SVG
  • PDF
  • EPS
  • Transparent PNG

Every format a printer, fabricator, or embroiderer will ask for. EPS and PDF are two extra exports that remove the back-and-forth.

Brand guide contents

  • Full color palette with usage rules
  • Typography with usage rules
  • Voice and messaging guidelines with real examples of what to say and what not to say
  • AI voice layer, so ChatGPT and Claude sound like you, not like a press release
  • Social guidelines, named by platform
  • Secondary mark usage, sized to read at 32px

Who this is for

Small businesses in Buffalo and Western New York who are starting fresh or have outgrown a DIY brand. Wellness practices, salons, restaurants, fitness studios, professional services. If your current brand doesn't feel like you when you look at it, that's the signal.

How it works

A discovery call to understand what you need. Then a tailored brand questionnaire that gets at things most clients haven't articulated yet: who you're really for, what you want to be known for, what you're deliberately not. The answers shape everything that follows, and most clients say the questionnaire alone changed how they think about their business.

From there: a strategy phase where we do the positioning work, a design phase where the identity takes shape, and a handoff where you get everything in a brand guide, organized so you (and your tools) can actually use it. Most brand identity projects take 3 to 4 weeks.

Work we've done

Anam Massage Therapy

Buffalo, NY

A complete brand identity built from nothing: name, mood board, logo, brand guide, website with online booking, and print materials. All anchored in one feeling.

Bodhi Lotus Salon

Williamsville, NY

A brand identity that holds two businesses in one space: high-end hair salon and Reiki healing. The brand needed to feel settled, like a space that has thought about itself and arrived.

NYC-Based Therapist

New York, NY

A brand identity for a psychotherapy practice built on sitting with complexity. Five elemental directions, drawn from natural material and the therapist's Iranian heritage.

“Vagari helped me see my brand in a whole new way. As a time-strapped small business owner, having them proactively organize my ideas and bring them to life with real creative vision was exactly what I needed.”
Lauren Ciszkowski, Bodhi Lotus Salon

If your brand doesn't feel like you when you look at it, that's worth a conversation.
